The Octavia estate is the perfect example of this. It's big enough to carry five adults - and their luggage - in comfort, has a wide range of petrol and diesel engines plus it's very well equipped as standard.. Go for the 1.9 TDI for value and comfort. or the 1.8 TSI for performance. The diesel line-up includes the faithful 105bhp Skoda Octavia 1.9-litre TDI which is used across Volkswagen, Skoda and SEAT cars plus a newer 2.0 TDI with 140bhp. Both models offer strong, punchy 
performance and superb economy - the 1.9 TDI returns 58mpg.
