Fiat Multipla MPV (Diesel Estate) Review

The Fiat Multipla JTD Diesel front drive compact MPV was launched in November 1999 with a 1.9 105 bhp Diesel engine. This was later upgraded to 110 bhp The standard JTD model has ABS, Height Adjustable Steering Wheel, Electric Mirrors, Electric Driver’s Seat Height Adjustment and Twin Front Airbags. The ELX model adds Climate Control, Headlamp Washers, Remote Central Locking, Alarm, Heated Mirrors and a Double Electric Sunroof.

Most MPV’s need to have more than the conventional 4/5 seats and many MPV’s on the market have 7 seats which may be too many. With the Multipla you get 6 seats which seat 6 adults very comfortably. The vehicle has large glass areas which make the visibility extremely good. The equipment is within easy reach for the driver even with the gear lever in the dash.

The Fiat Multipla Diesel MPV has three seats in the front making it slightly wider at the front than most other MPV’s, however the steering is light and it is fun to drive.

In 2004 the SX and ELX models were replaced with the Dynamic, Dynamic Plus and Eleganza models but still kept the same engines.
